As a Washington DC native she has worked for both the EPA and the House of Representatives’ Committee on Energy and Commerce. She graduated from University of Michigan with degrees in Economics and Environmental Science. Michael Slattery grew up on a farm in southeast Iowa\, and earlier in his career\, worked 18 years in finance and international business in New York and Tokyo.  In 1999\, Michael returned to his farming roots and he and his wife\, Nancy\, raised their three children on their 220-acre family owned- farm and rented land near Maribel\, WI.
